FOOD AND BEV ATTENDANT-LOUISVILLE RESTAURANT-CS (PT/VARIES)
Responsible for positive guest interactions while service guests in a friendly and efficient manner.  Food Servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.                 Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to…   Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.   Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.          Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous service of food and beverages to include alcohol to restaurant and casino guests in accordance with departmental standards. Responsible for receiving payment from guests in a prompt and courteous manner. Proficiently operate the established POS systems by following the correct procedures, identifying the correct receipt ticket and the approved comping procedures or Player’s Club discounts are followed when applicable. Maintain accountability and accuracy of the assigned cash bank drawer and complete all cash and credit transactions according to established cash handling procedures. Ensure that all transactions or adjustments to the receipt have been made and are properly documented and recorded before ringing up the sale. Complete daily inventory and maintain par levels on assigned beverage inventories. Performs necessary tasks to service guests i.e. taking and filling all food and beverage orders and assisting in maintaining guests’ dining area in a clean and neat manner. Complies with all health and safety standards/regulations as well as all applicable beverage, federal, state and local laws/ordinances. Monitors’ guest needs on a continual basis to ensure all requests will be promptly fulfilled. Maintain a good working relationship and provide detailed daily communications with the Restaurant Manager, the Food Shift Supervisors, Food and Beverages Leaders and other co-workers in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation. Assists other restaurant personnel with maintenance and cleanliness (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. Responsible for clearing all tables, resetting them for new seating; ensuring tables are set in accordance with venue standards and customers achieving a pleasurable dining experience. Maintains cleanliness of all side stations, responsible for stocking. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   AGE and GAMING: 21 years of age or above Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED is preferred. Previous cash handling experience and experience in using a POS (Point of Sales) system is preferred.   TESTING: Must be able to pass the Basic Math Test with 85%, must take the required testing identified for this position.   SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Must be Serv-Safe certified or certified within 180 days.  Must be SERV Safe Alcohol certified before starting to work.  All candidates must successfully complete the class and obtain a test score of 84% or higher.   LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees and one on one.   REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   Essential responsibilities include light to moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least forty (40) pounds.  Perform position responsibilities and excessive standing/walking 90% of the shift and/or essential functions on slippery or wet surfaces.  Must be able to work while wearing latex, vinyl, or rubber gloves.  Bending, stooping and stretching of arms during assigned shift.   WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.    Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
