These submissions will be used to assess writing skills. **Job Summary** The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Office team works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Members of this team manage sensitive information that requires working with a high level of confidentiality. The Compliance Specialist Intermediate is an experienced professional-level position that reports to the Chief FOIA Officer within the Office of the Vice President for Communications. In this role, the preferred candidate will perform a variety of professional duties in support of day-to-day operations to fulfill legal responsibilities under the Michigan FOIA. You will assist with effective, timely, and thorough compliance with a high volume of requests for documents concerning University of Michigan business. You will retrieve records and evaluate various courses of action and interpret and analyze information to ensure that responses are complete and accurate. Actual placement in the range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process.
