**Job Description**
**Position Overview:**
AECOM is seeking to hire a talented **Field Incident Response Manager** located in Pompano Beach, Florida. This position provides technical oversight of incident response contracts on Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise’s 512-mile toll road system. This includes the Road Rangers, Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC), and Specialty Towing and Roadside Repair (STARR) programs. The role ensures compliance with Turnpike guidelines, protocols, and policies.
This is one of two consultant positions supporting live event management, traffic incident management (TIM) training, and field inspections. The manager works closely with operations and roadway staff to enhance safety, coordination, communication, and cooperation among all Turnpike first responders. Position is located on-site at the Florida's Turnpike Enterprise offices in Pompano Beach.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Support day-to-day management of TMC resources for incident clearance and coordination
+ Respond to active crash scenes to observe TIM practices and assist with quick clearance
+ Provide project management support for Road Rangers, RISC, and STARR programs
+ Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure contract compliance
+ Participate in after-action reviews and TIM/TMC coordination meetings
+ Prepare monthly performance reports for incident response programs
+ Assist in updating Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs) semi-annually
+ Develop and maintain training materials, ensuring alignment with TMC needs
+ Coordinate real-time activities with multiple partners
+ Travel in-state overnight for meetings and training as needed.
+ Provide regular progress updates to senior management.
+ Responsible for ensuring timely and quality project completion
+ May lead or mentor consultants and staff.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum:**
+ BA/BS and eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Three (3) years’ experience in service patrol, wrecker operations, or incident response coordination.
+ Proficiency and knowledge of TSM&O and traffic engineering principles
+ Availability for alternate work schedules and 24/7 on-call duty.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
+ Experience reviewing vehicle logs, SunGuide ATMS or related applications, and maintenance records
+ Familiarity with service patrol operations and contract compliance.
+ Valid Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
+ Must pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check
**Preferred:**
+ Institutional knowledge of Florida’s Turnpike and FDOT TIM program
+ Certified trainer for FHWA’s National TIM course
+ Background in law enforcement, fire rescue, or towing
+ Completion of FEMA ICS courses (ICS-100 through ICS-400, IS-700)
+ FDOT-approved Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Advanced certification
+ Experience conducting after-action reviews and writing reports
+ Experienced in public speaking and presentation skills
+ Ability to explain technical concepts in layperson’s terms

+ Company-provided full-size pickup truck equipped with safety gear for incident response.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $80,000.00 - $100,000.00.
