**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **This is a per diem (as needed) position **What to expect as a Floorperson** **at Saint** **Mary Home:** The Floor & Laundry Technician ensures a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing a variety of housekeeping and maintenance duties. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds, while adhering to all safety, infection control, and operational guidelines. **Required knowledge, skills & abilities:** + Collects trash, recyclables, and soiled linen throughout the facility. + Operates housekeeping equipment such as washing machines, dryers, auto-scrubbers, and floor buffers. + Cleans and disinfects tile floors, stairwells, furniture, and fixtures; performs carpet vacuuming, spot-cleaning, and extraction. + Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, resident beds, and appliances. + Assists with outdoor maintenance, including snow removal during emergencies. **Qualifications:** + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. + Preferred: Six months of housekeeping experience in healthcare settings. + Physical ability to maneuver, lift up to 60 lbs., and perform cleaning tasks throughout the facility.
