Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials, including adhesives, sealants, and specialty products used in flooring, tile, and concrete restoration. We are currently seeking a Flooring Install Tech Services Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform tests of products for competitive evaluation, validate installation applications, and investigate product claims. You will also assist with seminar setup, product demonstrations, and help maintain an organized applications area.
Install and test tile, wood, vinyl, carpet, and surface preparation products to validate performance. Evaluate new and competitor products; document results and write clear technical reports. Perform tests to measure product qualities such as coverage, dimensions, performance, and durability. Apply industry standards (ANSI, ISO, ASTM) when testing and reporting. Review product claims and application requests; develop recommendations, specifications, or warranties. Maintain organized test records and report findings using standard quality control procedures. Prepare agendas and coordinate bi-weekly testing meetings. Support seminar setup, product demos, and video production needs with Marketing. Respond to advanced technical inquiries and investigate product issues. Draft technical documents, including recommendations, specifications, and datasheets. Maintain tools and equipment for safe and proper operation in the applications area Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions. 10+ years of experience in the installation of tile, wood, vinyl, carpet, and surface preparation products. You must be mechanically inclined and comfortable with light construction/industrial work. At a minimum, require High School Diploma or GED You should be proficient and comfortable with computers. Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
