**Overview**
**Job Summary Details:**
The Full-time Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining floors through shampooing, extraction, stripping, and waxing, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety in accordance with company procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Customer service experience
• One (1) year of floor care experience highly preferred
Responsibilities:
• Clean and maintain floors in accordance with company standards.
• Perform floor care tasks, including shampooing, extraction, stripping, and waxing floors using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify the manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment used for floor care and ensure all tools are in good working condition.
• Move furniture and equipment as necessary to access and clean all areas of the floor.
• Gather and empty trash from floor areas and ensure common spaces are tidy.
• Perform incidental seasonal tasks, such as snow removal or maintenance of outdoor walkways, as needed.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Customer service experience
• 1 year of similar work experience
