SUMMARY: Table Games Floor Supervisor must exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner while providing the guest with a pleasant gaming experience. Responsible for supervising all gaming activity in assigned section. Required to assist table games dealers and dealing table games when necessary. Responsible for the creation of player accounts and player ratings, the protection of Casino assets and the integrity of the gaming tables; observes dealers to insure compliance with Table Games policy and procedures of the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort.
Summary : The Dealer must exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner while providing the guest with a pleasant gaming experience. The Dealer is responsible for ensuring the safeguarding of casino assets, dealing table games professionally, accurately, and according to policies and procedures of the Table Games Department and the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. Must be articulate, motivated & customer service oriented. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours, be reliable and responsible for scheduled shifts. Each applicant is responsible for completing 120 hours of Dealer certification training and pass an audition for employment at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Floor Supervisor:
+ Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when interacting with our guests and fellow associates.
+ Resolve customer issues, address requests or complaints and maintain quality guest service.
+ Maintain effective communication with table games associates.
+ Ensure the highest standards security is maintained in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the company.
+ Supervise and monitor dealer rotations and breaks
+ Ensure highest degree of game integrity and safeguard of casino assets is maintained.
+ Demonstrates excellent communication skills, dynamic personality and strong interpersonal skills.
+ Oversees all gaming activities on assigned tables, ensuring that all Tribal Gaming Commission, company and departmental policies and procedures are followed.
+ Issues comp in accordance with established policies.
+ Monitors cash and chip transactions.
+ Maintains bankrolls at functional levels.
+ Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
+ Provides dealers with guidance on the game and off in order to help them improve their technical performance and customer service skills.
+ Completes 90 day and annual performance appraisals for associates.
+ Team Leader Responsibilities: manages and facilitates the flow of information for a team of 5-7 associates.
+ Other duties as assigned by Table Games Management.
Dealer:
+ Ensures the highest standards of guest service; utilizing the 3 Feathers Guest Service Program. Ensures efficiency and security are maintained in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the company.
+ Demonstrates excellent communication skills, dynamic personality and strong interpersonal skills.
+ Ensures the safeguarding of casino assets.
+ Adheres to all Tribal Gaming Commission, company and departmental policies, and procedures while dealing assigned game.
+ Maintains a smooth and efficient game pace.
+ Is able to deal games efficiently, accurately and in accordance with internal controls
+ Is able to work flexible shifts.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises dealers in the Table Games Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Assist with hiring process, contributes input with discipline of dealing staff and makes recommendations.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to successfully complete the essential duties of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
+ EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or (GED) general education degree. Must be certified and knowledgeable in all table games offered at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. Minimum 18 months experience in table games, including supervising or dealing and training in Blackjack, Roulette and/or Craps. Must have no more than six incidents in attendance within the previous twelve months. Must have a working knowledge of all games leading to an eventual certification in all games.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described her are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with our without reasonable accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand at a fixed work station for long periods of time. The associate must be able to reach distances of two feet and or occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment: The work environment characteristic of those and associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. The position exists in a casino work environment where there is frequent and regular exposure of the associate to noise, flashing lights and cigarette smoke from the casino floor.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Class III License which requires a criminal background check to be used solely for employment purposes. Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed. In case of a positive result, the candidate is not eligible for employment with the Mohawk Gaming Enterprises. Employment will not begin until process is complete.
