Our light industrial facility in Columbus is hiring for a Floor Cleaner.

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide housekeeping duties; spill response duties in the process of solid, liquids, hazardous, and recyclable wastes; and inspection of and cleaning of floor scrubber, and other cleaning utilities.

 

Shift Available:

3rd Shift:  11pm - 7am, Sunday - Thursday; 

 

Pay rate is $21.86/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential

Responsibilities Must embrace and follow the Core Beliefs and Values of Stryten Energy.Embraces and follows the work and safety rules and wears all required personal protective equipment.Attend all required trainings and meetings.Handling, packaging, and disposal of trash on the production floor, recyclable material, and hazardous wastes or chemicals to the appropriate disposal area and the operation of trash compactors.Inspection and cleaning of Personal Protective Equipment.Operate floor scrubber and ensure the equipment is cleaned and well maintained.Audit of waste collection containers for proper container condition, storage, marking, labeling, and transport to the appropriate disposal or storage areas and immediately returning to the production floor to resume cleaning activities or emptying of trash receptacles.Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.Must be able to understand and communicate in simple English to receive training instruction and perform team responsibilities.Be willing to learn how to properly and safely operate janitorial equipment.Hazardous waste training shall be provided to the employee within six months of the date the employee filled this position, and a review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter. The employee will complete a program of classroom instruction. The employee shall be supervised until training is completed. The training shall consist of a review of proper management of hazardous waste.Other responsibilities as assigned by the shift Supervisor or Operations Manager to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferredBasic reading, writing, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision.Experience in using a personal computer for basic word processing and spreadsheets.Must have the ability and willingness to work as needed/required to complete required work and Proficient with the Microsoft Suite of software products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT:

Physically fit for continuous standing, walking, sitting, bending, twistingPhysically capable of wearing personal protective equipment including gloves, respirator, safety glasses and steel toed shoes in accordance with established policy.Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)Occasional lifting from grams up to 50 pounds EEO Statement
