Flight Test Deputy Project Lead - Level 5

As aFlight Test Deputy Project Lead, you will assist the Flight Test Project Lead in leading a team of Flight Test professionals\. With a strong background in developmental flight testing, overseeing a team of engineers, maintainers and logistics, and leading various processes and protocols, you will ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance in all aspects of flight test operations\. The role demands the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously\. Responsibilities include: + **Team Leadership:** Lead, motivate, and manage a multidisciplinary test team of approximately 30 professionals, ensuring collaboration, timely project completion, and high standards of work\. + **Process & Procedure Development:** Ensure the engineering, maintenance and logistics teams develops, implements, and adheres to robust processes and procedures for all flight test operations\. + **Configuration Control:** Oversee and maintain rigorous configuration control practices, ensuring that all weapon system modifications, systems, and components align with company standards\. + **Training:** Ensure the test team is adequately trained and stays up to date and complies with company standards\. + **Risk Management:** Understand, analyze, and mitigate potential risks in flight test operations, always ensuring safety and compliance\. Some shift, extended hours, weekend work and travel may be required\. \*\* Must be a US Citizen\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. REF: Engineering, Aeronautics, aeroTE, aeroFTDPE **Basic Qualifications:** The following basic qualifications are required for this position: + Top Secret Clearance + Bachelor’s degree + Flight Test experience + Successful history in being a team technical lead **Desired Skills:** The following desired skills will differentiate potential candidates: + TS/SCI + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, science, or technology discipline + Master’s degree + Experience leading a flight test team discipline such as DP, FTCEs, FTEs, GSE, instro, etc\. + History of positive interactions with fellow employees, teammates, and customers in challenging circumstances + Experience with engineering documentation, configuration control and change boards, creating and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule, CAM or EVMS background **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\.
