**Flight Mechanic**
+ Location: Mesa, Arizona
+ Schedule: 5 & 2 (Days vary by location)
+ Compensation: $60,484 – $85,148 annually (Eligible for OT, plus bonuses and incentives)
**Position Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Flight Mechanic to join our team, working under the direction of a Lead Mechanic or Senior A&P Mechanic. This role involves performing repairs, inspections, and maintenance on aircraft and associated equipment to ensure ongoing airworthiness and compliance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards. The position requires both technical expertise and flexibility to work in dynamic operational environments, including occasional travel, night shifts, and short-notice assignments as part of the PHI Roving Maintenance Team.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection requirements; perform necessary tasks to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
+ Notify Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule or aircraft changes, additional manpower, or technical assistance.
+ Maintain assigned aircraft at field bases, including monitoring stock levels and requisitioning parts.
+ Ensure safety and security of company assets at assigned locations.
+ Prepare reports, requisitions, and inventories; personally certify work in aircraft logs and inspection forms per FAA, manufacturer, and company requirements.
+ Enter and update maintenance records in RAMCO, including work packages, status sheets, removals, and installations.
+ Communicate effectively with Lead Mechanic, AMBS, and other team members to ensure timely job completion.
+ Maintain parts inventory and recommend changes when necessary.
+ Maintain and calibrate company-provided special tools.
+ Perform sheet metal repairs and/or avionics troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
+ Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications Required:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
+ Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience as a certified mechanic (0–2 years considered for entry-level roles).
+ Strong communication and basic computer skills.
+ Ability to pass pre-placement physical exam (including strength/flexibility assessment), drug screening, and background check.
+ Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
+ Basic personal set of mechanic’s tools.
**Preferred:**
+ Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting experience.
+ Ability to travel frequently with short notice during scheduled hitch assignments.
+ Availability to work night shifts as required by maintenance schedules.
**Compensation & Benefits**
+ Annual salary: $60,484 – $85,148 (based on experience, eligible for OT).
