FLIGHT DECK Lean Leader
**Job Description Summary** The FLIGHT DECK Leader will partner with Future of Flight to lead and coach teams through their lean transformation. The approach will include (but not limited to) supporting daily management through a coaching approach, facilitating problem solving activities with cross functional teams, Value Stream Analysis, and Kaizen Events. This role will help drive the GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating model within Future of Flight. The ideal candidate will have transactional and operational business process lean experience and foundational knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and lean methodologies. **Job Description** FLIGHT DECK Leader will serve as a facilitator, educator, and coach to the engineering and operations teams to drive the understanding and application of lean principles and tools required to create a lean operating system. **_Essential Responsibilities_** + **Lead the deployment, coaching and sustainment of the FLIGHT DECK** lean operating model across Future of Flight + **Lead kaizen** and **improvement projects** with a goal of achieving operating goals using **KPI-based** performance management and principles of SQDC… in that order + **Coach** and **Collaborate** with all levels of the organization and functions including **Subject Matter Experts, Support Staff, and the Leadership Team** to help progress our Lean Culture and drive **Continuous Improvement** + Demonstrate **leadership in communicating** business goals, programs, and processes across all areas while interfacing with high level management teams + Utilize persuasion skills required to **influence** others + **Coach organizational leaders** to deploy Value Stream Management and establish and implement the usage of Problem Solving, **Daily Management and Kaizen** to enable business and customer outcomes **Minimum Qualifications/Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university + Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing teams in a Lean environment. + Must be willing to travel 25% to 50%.
