Work you’ll do/Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Aviation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team, specializing in aviation maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive executive-level leadership experience, with a proven track record of overseeing complex maintenance operations for both fixed and rotary wing platforms. This role requires deep expertise in aviation maintenance systems, processes, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
This position supports a team responsible for integrating Fleet Support Team (FST) functions into an existing engineering activity for a mission control system used in uncrewed aviation operations. The role focuses on expanding the scope of the current engineering activity to include traditional FST responsibilities as the program advances through key operational milestones.Key Responsibilities:Assist in defining and implementing FST roles, processes, and staffing requirements within the engineering activity.Support the execution of FST processes and ensure alignment with established naval aviation maintenance and support standards.Provide hands-on expertise in aviation maintenance programs and FST operations, leveraging practical experience with relevant naval aviation policies and procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate a smooth transition of the engineering activity into a fully functioning FST as operational milestones are achieved.The Team:

Bachelor’s Degree requiredCandidates must possess Secret ClearanceMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.10 + years with Fleet Team Support5 + years of experience in the following:Aerospace & Defense supply chain operations, demonstrating advanced knowledge of industry-specific processes and regulations. Advanced maintenance concepts, including Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies. Implementing predictive maintenance strategies and technologies in an industrial or defense environmentThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $151,800 to $253,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
