Caterpillar’s Job Site Solutions (JSS) group, part of the Resource Industries Sales, Services and Technology division, is currently seeking a Fleet Manager Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for executing Caterpillar led long term service agreements. This will include managing machine and component performance targets to fulfil customer specific contractual commitments in a profitable manner. These commitments include specific deliverables in equipment management, safety, sustainability, and financial performance. You will work directly with customers, dealers, and Caterpillar partners to successfully deliver these commitments.

The Fleet Manager Analyst has primary responsibility for managing a machine portfolio through data management and dealer partnership.

What you will do:

Monitoring machine data to support a strategy for managing units for maximum component life.

Achieving alignment of various parties at Caterpillar, dealers, and end-user facilities.

Partnering with dealer personnel to drive timely completion of contractual commitments for each unit.

Successfully delivering on all areas of contractual commitments by utilizing a complete understanding of Caterpillar and Dealer Capability.

Providing and applying solutions to problems in a customer-working environment.

Working with Caterpillar Product Groups and other internal Business Units to ensure a complete understanding of the technical and operational capabilities of our equipment, technology, and services.

Creating innovative and new value-added solutions to improve how we execute within these agreements with the goal of improved risk management, scalability and customer value.

What skills you will have:

Technical Excellence: Experience utilizing, managing, engineering, manufacturing, or marketing heavy equipment. Experience managing the health of heavy equipment fleets, either as a dealer representative or user.

Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Products and Services: Demonstrated deep subject matter expertise and experience in the management of equipment fleets or direct responsibility for maintenance & repair contract management.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – that range from operational and technical discussions to dealer and executive presentations

Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Relationship Management: Superior relationship building skills and the ability to influence teams to successfully execute all aspects of customer agreements.

Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs..

Top Candidates will also have

Working knowledge of Caterpillar, heavy equipment, product support, telematics, safety, and environmental operations.

Field experience working with/for Cat Dealers or customers.

Additional Information:

The location for this position is Edmonton, AB or Fort McMurray, AB.

This position may require 25 - 50 % travel, depending on the candidate's location.

Relocation is not available.
