Fleet Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining comprehensive vehicle records while supporting JLL's operational excellence standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose vehicle failures and perform disassembly, repair, and reassembly of parts as necessaryExecute preventative maintenance programs and conduct safety inspections on fleet vehiclesRespond to service calls and provide timely resolution of equipment issuesMaintain accurate vehicle records and complete all required documentationRepair and maintain fleet equipment including forklifts, industrial equipment, and support vehiclesComplete daily checklists and pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliancePerform hydraulic system, brake system, and propane fuel system repairsMaintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary for fleet operationsRequired QualificationsMinimum 18 years of age (21+ if CDL required)Ability to pass drug test, background check, and validated selection testMechanical knowledge of industrial equipment and fleet vehiclesExperience repairing forklifts, including propane fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and palette jacksUnderstanding of hydraulic and brake systemsKnowledge of Preventive Maintenance Programs and proceduresStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate recordsPreferred QualificationsExperience with computer instrumentation and diagnostic systemsKnowledge of manufacturing standards and latest technology trendsValid Class A or B CDL licenseHeavy truck repair experience (tractor-trailers, brakes, tires, engines)Light truck and van repair experienceKnowledge of internal combustion and diesel enginesExperience with electrical industrial vehicles (Raymond, CAT, Crown, Hyster brands)Familiarity with desktop computers, hand-held devices, and work order systems

Location: Onsite @ GM LGR facility

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 1st shift

Compensation: $38.50/hr
