What You’ll Do:
The Fleet Leader will oversee the activities of Driver Leaders and their respective teams of drivers to ensure the utmost in performance, and smooth driver and customer experience.
· Manage a community of Driver Leaders whose duties include management of Drivers and tractors to ensure success is achieved for customers and Drivers
· Manage work schedules including coverage for holidays, sick days, etc. for all employees
· Monitor employee and Driver performance through KPI and soft-skill management
· Enhance employee performance through coaching, mentoring and documentation
· Managing Driver’s performance while promoting safe operations
· Monitor freight assigned to Drivers in order to ensure the highest level of service to our customers
· Lead team with strong work ethic & integrity
· Fill-in for other business needs, as warranted
Collaborate cross-functionally to continue to drive the culture and live out our mission and core values. Answer incoming phone calls, live chats, and emails to assist drivers with delays, service issues, trailers, payroll, etc.· [LW1] Collaborate in-person with all levels of the organization to harness collective intelligence of the workforce.
· Attend all in-person meetings and trainings on recent developments, goals, and objectives and participate in such discussions by offering input and advice.
Regularly engage remotely and in-person with customers and potential customers to establish rapport, open communication, and expectations· Monitor and Manage KPI’ for P&L, Safety, Turnover, Fuel Management, and Utility
