Position Summary: The Fleet Foreman is a skilled position in the repair and maintenance of utility equipment and possesses knowledge of hydraulics and powertrain. Essential Functions: + Work safely while teaching and promoting safety. + Supervise and work alongside field mechanics. + Capable of leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive work procedures. + Conduct safety audits and meetings. + Assist with trouble shooting problems. + Travel, including overnight stay in some areas. + Comply with Company reporting procedures and completion of required paperwork. + Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order. + Cover a large area with multiple field mechanics. Minimum Requirements: + Able to perform rigorous physical labor. + Able to travel long distances on short notice, including overnight stay in some areas. + Must possess a CDL license and demonstrate safe driving. + Possess working knowledge of leadership and management skills. + Possess a working knowledge of laptop computers and diagnostic software. + Possess a working knowledge of repairs on all types of utility equipment. + Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. + Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather. + Willing to work overtime when requested. + Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
