An exciting opportunity has become available for a field Electrician. This position is based out of our Haileybury, Ontario facility.
Key Specific Responsibilities include:Strict adherence to existing testing procedures and processesUndertake project planning tasks, including job planning and EHS risk managementPerform HV electrical testing across all HV assets such as Drill rigs, cabling, generators, motors, transformers and switchgearRecord test results on the relevant test certificates and compile test reports [COC’s]Liaise with client representativesKey Skills and experience required:Infallible focus on SafetyCurrent electrical licenseMust be able to build High-Voltage and Low-Voltage electrical wiringMust be able to build junction boxes, power distribution boxes, control panels and fuse boxesMust have an excellent knowledge in High-Voltage safety of batteries and electrical wiringMust be able to instrument the electric powertrains components for Power analysis, Current probes, Voltage probes etc.Must be well versed in reading and following electrical wiring schematics for safe system integrationShould be qualified in High-Voltage system implementation.Strong knowledge in automotive Network design (CAN, Ethernet)Good understanding of engine and vehicle controls interfaceMust be able to lead technically and provide guidanceMust be able to propose technical solutionsExperience in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques for electrical assetsStrong computer & communication skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook essential)Ability to work both autonomously & as part of a teamExcellent spoken & written communicationStrong organizational skillsA HV Switching TicketCandidates with similar experience within the mining industry will be held in high regard.
