Fleet Accounting Administrator

A Day in the Life:

The Accounting Administrator supports both our U.S. and Canada fleet accounts payable operations. This role collaborates daily with Fleet Procurement, Finance and Accounting teams, and external suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, manage vendor inquiries, and ensure timely payments. The scope includes reviewing and entering invoices, preparing daily payment runs, reconciling the bank statements, and supporting month-end close tasks. The role handles a mix of recurring tasks and analytical work, including process improvement initiatives and reporting.

The starting salary for this role is $50,000.

 

What You’ll Do:

Process and verify a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for three-way matching processing. Prepare and process daily payment runs. Respond to vendor statements and assist with account resolutions. Assist with AP related reporting and month-end close activities. Maintain proper documentation and support for audits and internal review. Utilize programs like Microsoft 365 products and cloud-based ERP accounting system. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing best practices.

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

3 years of experience in accounts payable or similar accounting functions. Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Familiar with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations Excellent verbal and written communication skills   Results driven, ability to make decisions and help solve problems Excellent organization, time management, delegation, and prioritization skills.
