We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Flavorist / R&D Flavor Technologist to join our R&D team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about flavor creation and development, with a strong foundation in food science or chemistry. You will support the formulation, compounding, and evaluation of flavors across a variety of applications, while maintaining high standards of lab safety and organization.

Key responsibilities • Assist in the compounding and formulation of flavor samples under the guidance of senior flavorists. • Conduct sensory evaluations and provide detailed descriptions of flavor profiles. • Support experimental design and execute lab trials for flavor development projects. • Maintain accurate data logging and reporting of experimental results. • Organize and manage lab chemicals and raw materials inventory. • Follow and enforce general lab safety practices and cleanliness standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including applications, quality, and regulatory. Qualifications and skills • Strong understanding of flavor compounding techniques. • Ability to taste, evaluate, and describe flavor profiles. • Familiarity with experimental design and scientific methodology. • Proficient in data recording, reporting, and lab documentation. • Knowledge of general laboratory safety and maintenance. • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

 

The typical hiring range for this role is $75,602 to $123,432 annually and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
