Summary: Seeking a Fixture Designer with expertise in designing complex weld fixtures and project management experience.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Experience with complex weld fixtures and designs
Proficiency in designing weldments and manufacturability
Ability to manage personal projects related to design
Responsibilities:
Design and modify weld fixtures and equipment for production parts and assemblies
Develop tooling/fixtures that meet specifications, are durable, and cost-effective
Validate fixtures for accuracy, repeatability, and function
Create detailed part, assembly, and print models for manufacturing communication
Manage multiple projects from design to validation stages
Collaborate with product engineers, operations, machinists, fixture builders, and vendor machine shops to optimize designs for quality and cost
Apply engineering analysis for design strength and functionality
Develop standards of work to enhance design efficiency and reduce validation time
Engage hands-on with production parts, tooling, and hand tools
Pay Details: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour
