About this role:

The Fixed Income Strategies Team is searching for a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager - Municipals. The Fixed Income Strategies Team (FIST) is part of the Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WFII)  within the Investment Solutions organization and provides personalized investment management designed to help clients achieve their goals for income and long-term capital growth within the fixed income allocation of their portfolio. The FIST team specializes in meeting the unique needs of high-net-worth individuals and institutional-style investors through fully discretionary actively managed fixed income portfolios.  The FIST team provides taxable, and tax advantaged SMA strategies with a focus on investment grade securities across most asset classes / sectors and across the yield curve.  Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role, you will:

Manages a large book of fixed income portfolios on behalf of high-net-worth clients, trusts, and institutionsImplementation of tax sensitive income strategies, with somewhat broad investment authority and acting independently within the established VIG (Verification of Investment Guidelines)Actively participate in team strategy calls and execute strategic and tactical positioning in accordance with strategy team allocationsCommunicate the Fixed Income Strategies Teams current strategy and delivers market updates to the broader Wealth Investment Management (WIM) communityParticipates in fixed income outreach to internal partnersProvide on-going support to generalist advisor partners in their knowledge, awareness, and implementation of fixed income managementWork with Client Relationship Group (CRG) partners to provide ongoing service to existing clients and assistance with new business opportunities

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Wealth Investment Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Successfully completed FINRA Series 65 exam to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)An active Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designationMinimum 4 years of experience in fixed income portfolio management and investing experience with an emphasis in Municipal bondsKnowledge of Bloomberg and or BondEdgeFixed Income Trading or research experienceProven ability to generate strong investment performance and deliver business growth strategiesAbility to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areasIntermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skillsKnowledge and understanding of Wells Fargo Advisors and Private Bank operationsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyStrong conflict resolution skillsExcellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Job Expectations:

Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 65 examination, or equivalent must be completed within a 90-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $197,500.00
