Responsibilities

 

 

The associate is responsible for assisting senior team members across a variety of operational tasks in support of the fixed income group.  Attention to detail and the ability to handle duties across multiple systems/platforms is a must.  The individual must also be prepared to cross train within other areas to assist when needed. 

 

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Setup Accounts and Subaccounts within Internal SystemAllocate trades within Internal System and TOMSCall on and help reconcile failing transactionsAssist in general Operations duties within Fixed Income GroupMaintain an understanding of team expectations and company policiesShared responsibility for team phone and e-mail coverageKeep management informed on any unusual requests and potential issuesMaintain prompt and regular attendanceThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management deems necessary Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent work experiencePrevious work experience in securities related field preferredSeries 99, or equivalent (or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment)Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detailExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-taskEffective communication skills – oral and written, with an emphasis on customer serviceProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability to take direction, work independently and within a team environmentAdaptable to change in a highly regulated industry

           

Physical requirements/Working conditions:

Dynamic, time-sensitive environmentRegular fixed schedule, with occasional, but rare, afterhours and weekend work opportunitiesClimate controlled office environment

Hiring Salary Range $50,000 - $55,000 per annum (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity and alignment with market data.)   Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.  This compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
