Fixed Equipment Inspection Lead
Total Number of Openings 1 About the position: Working supervisor role responsible for fixed equipment engineering, inspections support and asset strategy development including but not exclusive to operations support, project support, and design. Key Responsibilities: + Responsible for delivering the daily work direction, coordination and guidance for Fixed Equipment Team consisting of inspectors and asset strategy coordinator personnel (Inspection, Valve and PSV repair and RBI coordinator). + Provides continual key interface with Maintenance and Production as well as providing day to day support to the maintenance execution personnel. + Provides Fixed Equipment Operations and Engineering leadership to MFG Refineries and ABU LNG OPCOs. + Provides mentoring and development for FEI team members, including nationals, expats and contractors. + Primary duty of the Fixed Equipment Team Leader is to assure the safe and reliable operating condition of ALNG fixed equipment. **Including:** Functions as site maintenance day to day mechanical engineer in all areas of Fixed Equipment e.g. valves, heat exchangers & piping systems + Ensuring a comprehensive Risk Based Inspection (RBI) program is implemented and maintained to assure asset integrity + Providing competent and certified Inspection and NDE resources to gather and evaluate fixed equipment integrity information + Monitors data management and record keeping to support the RBI program + Second level review of inspection results, RBI updates and repair recommendations + Responsible for supporting the fixed equipment maintenance/repair/fabrication with technical expertise, QA/QC resources, and equipment history documentation + Establish and report company level Fixed Equipment Integrity metrics, facilitate agreement on targets and set up systems for measuring, monitoring and reporting + Interface between CVX’s CPF and ETC SME’s in the area of Fixed Equipment, RBI and IOW programs. + Responsible for managing the contract for the site’s Inspection and NDE Services Contractor and for the site’s Valve Maintenance and Repair Services Contractor + Provides technical and advisory support to Operations with respect to equipment condition, risk assessment and repair strategies. + Supplement engineering staff with technical and operational expertise and guidance for fixed equipment installation, fabrication and repair + Provides fixed equipment support for all plant maintenance activities, including turnaround/shutdowns, routine maintenance and small projects. + Support encompasses planning/forecasting resources, technical job planning, oversight of execution and QA/QC and follow up reporting and documentation. Required Qualifications: + Minimum of 5 years relevant experience providing fixed equipment integrity support in a complex oil and gas operating environment + Experience in a leadership position Preferred Qualifications: + RBI experience + On-stream-inspection experience + Turnaround inspection experience + Familiarity in supporting Operations within the Refining industry is desirable Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world.
