MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure complete administration of asset accounting process and capital purchase order approval; providing support to the department and optimal value for the product end-users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Approve and co-ordinate administration functions for purchase orders Perform administration functions on Fixed Asset System Create and maintain budgets and co-ordinate relating processes Co-ordinate financial controls and processes REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 

Senior Certificate with Accounting as a subject or relevant tertiary qualification

DESIRED EDUCATION: 

Certificate/Diploma in Accounting or relevant Financial Certificate/Diploma REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 

At least 3 - 5 years relevant working experience in a Financial environment

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:  

3-5 years experience in a Financial environment; Relevant Fixed Asset accounting experience ;SAP System experience REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE SARS legislation Finance/accounting terminology Reconciliation skills Impact of depreciation and profit & loss Different budget types; implications and applicable procedures Integrated asset management system Knowledge and experience of accounting transactions Asset Accounting and Capitalisation policy and legislation Overall asset verification process Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
