Role Overview
The Implementation team is integral to the revenue growth of the firm and as such partner closely with the Sales and Trading teams as well as Technology. The team provide technical input into the onboarding of new clients onto the platform through bespoke integration components and FIX, interfacing with the Liquidnet Darkpool and Algorithmic Trading systems. Additionally, the team are responsible for certification of integrations with O/EMS vendors as well as outbound venues and brokers.
The successful candidate will thrive in a complex technical environment that is undergoing significant change and actively contribute to onboarding & technical enhancements of the system using prior experience and ideas. This will utilise a strong technical skillet (FIX, Linux, database (SQL, Sybase or Oracle), E/OMS, Cloud-based technologies, scripting and network troubleshooting) and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Role Responsibilities
Client Onboarding Support: Deliver technical expertise to client-facing teams (e.g., Trade Desk, Trade Coverage) and directly to clients throughout the onboarding process, escalating complex issues to Development as needed.
FIX Certification with E/OMS Vendors: Work with external vendors to certify all integrations with the Liquidnet platform
Platform & Interface Support: Maintain and support the Liquidnet Darkpool platform, including proprietary front-end systems, integrations with E/OMS vendors, and direct FIX connectivity.
Integration Issue Escalation: Act as an escalation point for Front Office teams on workflow and integration-related issues, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption.
Client Configuration & Testing: Implement client-specific customizations using internal configuration tools, and coordinate testing efforts with clients and internal stakeholders including quants, traders, and sales teams.
ETD Onboarding: Facilitate onboarding of Exchange Traded Derivatives to the hosted Fidessa platform, ensuring accurate and timely setup.
System Monitoring & Alert Response: Respond to and investigate unacknowledged monitoring alerts in collaboration with Front Office Support and Platform Services.
Incident Management: Participate in incident resolution and contribute to post-mortem analysis to drive continuous improvement in integration processes.
Project & QA Involvement: Support product testing initiatives and contribute to broader project work across teams.
Global Support Coordination: Collaborate with regional teams in APAC and EMEA to maintain a ‘follow-the-sun’ support model, including performing pre-market health checks across time zones.
After-Hours Support: Provide support during major upgrades and off-hours testing, including occasional weekend availability.
Experience / Competences
Essential
Hands-on implementation experience within a financial institution (buy-side, sell-side, venue/platform provider)

Working knowledge within MSSQL, Oracle or Sybase database environments, including complex query-writing
Experience of supporting Windows Server environments
Experience in troubleshooting basic network problems: i.e. firewall and routing problems
Motivated self-starter who takes ownership of responsibilities, and can work autonomously
Deeply analytical and disciplined approach to problem-solving
Disciplined approach towards Service Level Agreement adherence and minimising Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR)
Ability to confidently communicate at all stakeholder levels (technical, client, trader etc)

A ruthless approach towards automation
Experience in programming or scripting languages
Experience supporting message-based architecture
AWS Certification to ‘Cloud Practitioner’ level or above or equivalent
Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing
Working knowledge of at least one buy-side or sell-side Order Management System
Experience with industry-standard monitoring tools (ITRS or similar)
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
Experience working within an ITIL framework, ideally with ITIL Foundation qualification
