Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Fabrication and Assembly Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling materials for various finished assemblies in accordance with detailed drawings and blueprints.
ResponsibilitiesFabricate and assemble materials for finished assemblies as per drawings and blueprints.Layout structural steel using work points, linear and angular dimensions, and three-dimensional conceptualization.Operate cutting torches, hand grinders, drills, and other hand and power tools.Prepare materials for fitting and welding, including beveling edges of steel for full penetration welds.Cut, drill, grind, bevel, and modify materials to meet specifications on fabrication drawings.Create templates, fixtures, and jigs for safe and accurate assembly of finished products.Read and interpret blueprints and drawings accurately.Understand and apply shop mathematics.Perform tack welding and MIG welding.Essential SkillsExperience in fabrication and assembly.Proficient in blueprint interpretation.Skilled in MIG welding and tack welding.Ability to operate hand and power tools efficiently.Strong understanding of shop mathematics.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with TIG welding, flux core welding, and aluminum welding.Familiarity with structural and stainless steel materials.Capability to work with templates, fixtures, and jigs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a fabrication shop that can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It is a hands-on, dynamic setting with varied shifts: Monday through Thursday from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, and Friday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, where you work 36 hours and get paid for 40. This role requires working in a sometimes dirty environment, typical of a fabrication shop.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $54080.00/yr.
