Main Pool Shallow Water Classes:
High Intensity Shallow: A high intensity class taught in the shallow water to get your heart rate up with incorporating various types of interval training.
Hydrorider: Take your love of biking to the water as you experience this full of energy ride in the shallow water on a stationary bike to achieve different intensity levels while promoting cardiovascular health and buoyancy for joint support. During this lass other pieces of equipment will be added to increase the intensity of the workout. Come ready to push, pull, and peddle your way to conditioning the while body. Modifications will be available to benefit all levels of fitness. Water shoes and registration are required. To register go to Sanfordwellness.org and click on the class.
BogaPlay: Experience a total body workout like no other! Come and have fun in this circuit designed class. When on the BOGA board you will challenge both upper and lower body and core strength! Boards are in the shallow water so if you fall off just press your feet down and stand up.
Total Body H2O: A total body shallow water class featuring cardio and weights.
Aqua PUMP: Serious Resistance! Shallow water aerobics that includes 20-30 minutes of medium to high intensity activity. Work on your flexibility, abs, shaping and strengthening and not to forget you heart! A variety of equipment will be used.
Move that Body: An upbeat temp class that uses a variety of equipment that focuses on strength and endurance. Modifications provided so you can participate at your highest level.
Main Pool Combination Shallow/Deep Water Classes:
Aqua Extreme: A shallow/deep combination class using a variety of equipment to give you an extreme workout with all the benefits water has to offer! No two classes will be the same.
Aqua Moves: This class will have a variety of fun low impact moves using different types of equipment including weights.
High Power Combo: High-energy clas that combines both shallow and deep water work that includes lots of cardio through the use of Tabata intervals, volleyball, weights, fins, and kickboxing.
Water Boot Camp: Take your workout to an extreme level! Designed for members “commanding attention to train their body” for endurance and strength. A vigorous format, variety of equipment and full length of pool will be incorporated! (Tuesday = Tabata style workout)
Move that Body: an upbeat tempo class that focuses on strength and endurance for people affected by muscular pain. Move are performed rhythmically and continuously at a moderate intensity. This class offers an advanced format that focuses on muscular strength and endurance.
Warm Water Pool Classes:
Joint-N-Motion: Class is comprised of warm-up, upper and lower body exercises, toning, cool down and stretching.
Advanced Joints-N-Motion: This advanced class will incorporate moves that will help to improve balance, core strength, and back stabilization. There are portions that will elevate your heartrate and will also challenge participants by doing exercises that are more complex requiring added concentration.

Responsible for the instruction of fitness classes, motivating participants of various abilities and fitness levels using physiologically sound and biomechanically safe methods.Job Description
Displays the ability to operate stereo and microphone equipment for the duration of fitness classes. Is comfortable with either land or water exercise. Choreographs fitness routines and class layouts. Demonstrates the ability to partake in the fitness activities and adapt exercise instruction to various ages and fitness level. Actively looks for ways to help class members. Possesses the ability to manage time effectively so classes run on time. Requires skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the team, members and the public.
Aids in cleaning and maintaining locker room facilities, fitness areas, and pool area when necessary. Requires the ability to act calmly and effectively to emergency situations. Depending on location, will serve as life guard for some classes and shifts.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Background in physical education preferred. Experience in exercise, fitness, and aerobics classes is preferred. Meeting the continuing education requirements of applicable certification organization is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of hire. Additionally, a fitness certification approved by immediate supervisor is required within one year of hire into the position.
