Position Overview:

A Fit Out Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of commercial interior construction projects, ensuring designs are properly implemented according to specifications, building codes, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the technical delivery of interior fit out projects from design through to completionCoordination between tenants and Landlord to ensure seamless project execution.Ensure Landlord guidelines and technical requirements are followed throughout the Project execution.Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure constructability and compliance with specificationsCoordinate with contractors, architects, and other consultants throughout project executionConduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality and progressResolve technical issues and design conflicts that arise during constructionManage project schedules and monitor construction milestonesEnsure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and sustainability requirementsPrepare technical reports and maintain project documentationParticipate in client meetings to address technical queries and provide solutionsReview and approve contractor submittals and material samples

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial fit out or construction projectsStrong understanding of building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safetyKnowledge of building codes and construction standardsExperience with project management methodologiesProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Skills and Competencies:

Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitudeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsProficiency in project management and CAD softwareUnderstanding of sustainable building practices and certifications (LEED, BREEAM, WELL, etc.)
