Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Firmware Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end design and development of embedded solutions. Collaborate within an Agile firmware development team utilizing scrum processes, and drive firmware quality through early defect discovery and removal. Analyze acceptance criteria and provide accurate estimates of effort.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop embedded solutions with a focus on firmware quality.Collaborate with team members in an Agile development environment using scrum processes.Translate business requirements into data models.Provide technical design documentation for assigned features and user stories.Conduct development, writing code, building, deploying, troubleshooting, and debugging.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in firmware and embedded software development.Proficiency in C++ development.Embedded Linux experience, particularly with Yocto.Ability to read hardware schematics and familiarity with debugging tools.Understanding of protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, MODBUS, USB, and Ethernet.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.Experience with Agile development using Jira and the Atlassian Suite.Familiarity with basic scripting languages such as Shell, Bash, and Python.UI experience with React.js and Node frameworks is a plus.Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline is strongly preferred.Work Environment
The role requires a minimum of four days on-site with Friday as a flex day. Our large campus houses hundreds of people with all manufacturing done in-house. The work environment is akin to a college senior design project, fostering close-knit collaboration across nearly all engineering disciplines. Daily scrums at 9 am help the team engage or troubleshoot, followed by development tasks. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
