The Fireworks Inventory Control Specialist keeps Disney’s pyrotechnic magic running smoothly for the WDW Pyrotechnics and Fireworks team by logging daily inventory, verifying data for accuracy, and sharing usage insights with leadership to support planning. The specialist also prepares documentation that helps ensure safe and efficient operations at the Fireworks Storage Facility.
This is a full-time hourly role that reports to the Area Manager of Fireworks.
What You Will Do
Create, revise, and maintain pack and pull sheets to ensure the availability of resources Manage and maintain compliance with Federal regulations (ATF, DOT, EPA) by overseeing accurate record keeping, storage, handling, disposal, and shipping practices of regulated pyrotechnic materials Logging transactions for all pyrotechnic product movements in multiple enterprise-level solutions, including SAP and Finale Continually manage database/information integrity Analyze, research, and adjust any irregularities and/or discrepancies regarding cross-platform informational subsets Manage multiple concurrent timelines for product movements, providing updates to leadership when discrepancies are identified, and resources need to be reallocated Provide reporting to forecast resource needs from international and domestic vendors (multiple-month lead times for orders require a high-level strategic approach)
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of experience in accounting, logistics, warehousing, or related experience Demonstrated high level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel and Pivot tables), with the ability to learn new applications and analytical tools High level of performance in strategic thinking Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities with extreme accuracy and minimal supervision Working closely with hazardous materials daily, such as explosivesAbility to be approved by the ATF as an Employee Possessor Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Previous or current Employee Possessor at WDW SAP experience (Warehouse module) strongly preferred Familiarity with programming languages VBA, Python, Java, SQL
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education
BA or BS degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or related field
