Fire & Safety Executive

You'll work as a Fire & Safety Executive, reporting to the Technical or Property Manager.

In this varied role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Conduct regular fire and safety inspections throughout the residential propertyMaintain and test all fire protection systems including alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishersMaintain and test all firefighting systems including jockey, main pump, diesel pump, sprinkers, Curtains, hydrant systemEnsuring 100% water available in all fire tanks all the time.Develop and implement emergency evacuation procedures and conduct regular fire drillsTrain building staff and residents on fire safety procedures and emergency protocolsMaintain accurate documentation of all inspections, drills, and equipment maintenanceLiaise with local fire departments and regulatory authoritiesInvestigate fire incidents and prepare detailed reportsEnsure compliance with all applicable fire codes and safety regulationsMonitor and address potential fire hazards in the buildingUpdate safety policies and procedures as regulations change

Preferred Skills

First aid and CPR certificationExperience with building management systemsKnowledge of residential building operationsBackground in emergency management

Education and experience

Diploma in Fire Safety Management or related field.

Knowledge of local fire codes and building safety regulations

Previous experience in fire safety, preferably in residential buildings

Strong understanding of fire protection systems and emergency procedures

Excellent communication and training skills

Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities

Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies

Physical ability to access all areas of the building for inspections 

An eye for detail

You’ll have an eye for detail and an ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative information – and translate this into strategic deliverables. 

Great organisational skills

You’ll have great time management and organisational skills, and be good at meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment and adapting to your team’s or client’s changing requirements.
