Fire Protection Sales Engineer
**Summary** The **Fire Protection Sales Engineer,** identifies potential customers, maintains client relationships, prepares job estimates, bids on projects, and delegates tasks after contract awards. **Responsibilities** + Identify projects needing Addressable Fire Alarm and Clean Agent Suppression systems. + Collaborate with business development to prepare bids. + Foster client relationships for design-build invitations, upgrades, and project opportunities. + Review project documents thoroughly. + Conduct site walkthroughs to develop RFIs and support scopes of work. + Create equipment take-offs using estimating software. + Develop spreadsheets detailing engineering drawings, submittals, labor, contingencies, travel, per diem, and bonuses. + Generate Fire Alarm and Clean Agent Suppression system quotes in line with design criteria and contracts. + Communicate updates during the bidding process. + Submit Fire Alarm and Clean Agent Suppression system quotes at least one day before bid date. + Assign job numbers and prepare project paperwork. + Complete Project Manager Detail Sheets and enter projects into the engineering queue. + Coordinate documentation with the Fire Marshal. + Review Bills of Materials and place orders with manufacturers. + Oversee Operations Manager, Installation Manager, and office staff. + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field is preferred + Experience with Clean Agent Suppression systems is essential for this role + Familiar with the operational procedures of Fire Alaram and Clean Agent Suppression systems + Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehending the English language, as well as applying written rules, detailed orders, and technical instructions pertinent to fire protection engineering. + A valid State Driver’s License is required. _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Possesses extensive knowledge of installed Fire Alarm and Clean Agent Suppression systems + Demonstrates proficiency in the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. + Exhibits strong oral and written communication skills. + Ability to effectively collaborating as part of a geographically dispersed team.
