Fire Alarm Technician - NICET II
Job Description An Insight Global Client is seeking a senior Fire Alarm Technician to join their fast growing low voltage systems integration business. This is a permanent position that include a company vehicle, benefits, and PTO. Someone with fire alarm experience and NICET II cert On-call rotation for night support. 1 week on, 5-7 weeks off. may get avg of 3 calls that week and most can be resolved over the phone, walking the customer through a resolution until they can be onsite in the morning. These are issues that may go on in high rise building over night that are involving the fire alarm in some way. Install and update fire alarm systems in commercial buildings Program fire alarm systems, perform inspections, test alarms, and troubleshoot or document any issues Test, troubleshoot and repair alarm systems already in place Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues Respond to emergency service calls Maintain a clean and safe workspace We are a company committed to creating inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - Experience supporting or inspecting the following types of commercial fire alarm systems: Notifier, Simplex, Siemens, and/or Fire Lite - Customer facing experience - leadership skills High school diploma or GED certificate NICET certification Level II, or III (requires prior experience or training) Experience with commercial systems Troubleshooting skills Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
