Shambaugh & Son L.P., a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., is a customer-driven, single-source, self-performing construction/engineering firm.  We specialize in the Design-Build method of construction resulting in fast-track delivery of the project improvements to our customers. We are one of the largest specialty contractors in the U.S. and the only one with all eight M.E.P (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Automation, Refrigeration, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) design and installation capabilities in-house.  We perform more than $1 billion of construction projects per year with over 3,000 employees throughout 50 states from our home office in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for an Fire Alarm Inspector. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring fire alarm systems are functioning correctly and meet safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform NFPA 25 Fire Sprinkler Inspections Bar Code all equipment and input data electronically Detail Inspection Deficiencies for office Take alarm systems offline for inspections Assist the service/inspection office manager Perform other duties as directed. 

Qualifications

Understanding of NFPA 25 Requirements Utilize Inspections Software to Perform Inspections Have General Understanding of Function of Fire Sprinkler Systems NICET Level II Preferred Physically able to perform work Ability to multi-task Flexibility with schedule changes or a daily basis Good communications skills to communicate with customers on site Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
