ABOUT THE ROLE
This position leads critical components of MVB’s risk management program overseeing its fintech banking business. As a leader on the Fintech Risk team, you will define and execute strategy while overseeing implementation of an effective and efficient risk management program. This position reports directly to the Head of Fintech Risk.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead a team focused on identifying, reviewing, and mitigating fintech-related risks Work closely with the Fintech Business to define risk management strategies, implement controls, and resolve issues Act as a liaison between MVB and its fintech clients, providing oversight of and support to fintechs as they establish and maintain risk and compliance programs Lead a team that proactively identifies, reviews, and resolves fintech-related risks through due diligence and ongoing monitoring Provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders and fintech clients that need regulatory guidance or input Develop, document, and implement risk mitigation plans and controls Define, monitor, and analyze key risk indicators and other metrics to measure risk exposure, identify emerging risks, and inform decision making Identify, track, and resolve issues, liaising with audit and regulatory authorities Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policiesEDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
Four-year college degree required. 10-12 years' experience in risk and compliance, ideally working across multiple functional areas including AML, fraud, information security, consumer compliance, and internal audit Strong understanding of laws, rules, regulations, and risks as they relate to payments and third-party risk management Ability to understand complex risk and operational issues Experience working in or with fintechs, understanding key business concepts and risks associated with new payment flows Experience working with and presenting to senior management and regulatory agencies Ability to mentor and develop high-performing risk management teams Certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) a plusBENEFITS AT MVB
