An exciting opportunity for a motivated Salesperson with a proven background in business-to-business sales to join a major manufacturer within the Crushing, Screening and Conveying industry. Finlay have been manufacturing a comprehensive range of tracked mobile crushing, screening and conveying equipment for 67 years and are searching for an experienced and motivated Regional Sales Manager to execute our growth plans throughout North America.
Responsibilities:
Proactively managing multiple business aspects of nominated Dealer Accounts in a manner which achieves targeted machine and parts sales volumes, enhances company margin and improves customer satisfaction and service levelsDevelop and agree annual business plans for each dealer and ensure regular documented feedback on progress vs plan is givenEstablish dealer sales targets and provide forecasts for machines and parts sales in line with the annual business planSecure sales orders for machines in line w/agreed targets while striving to maintain or improve company sales marginsDevelop implement and manage sales & marketing initiatives for dealer accounts within the assigned region, in a highly professional capacity, respecting company confidentiality alwaysTo gather and collate regular forecasts and inventory status as part of the Sales and Operations planning process.Support Brand Strategy on Distribution expansion by prospecting, shortlisting and then appointing new dealers for territories and market segments not currently covered.Work directly with dealer accounts and company sales representatives to drive machine sales and improve deal service levelsTrain and advise dealer staff (or end users) on company products, machine applications, services, warranties and basic aspects of technical sales.Actively participate in the management of credit control aspects of dealer accountsPro-actively liaise with other company functions to ensure dealer accounts have access to engineers, field service and other team members as necessaryCarry out ongoing research on local markets and business activity (including identifying competitive presence) and identify new opportunities for current and future products as well as sharing any product feedback with Product ManagementAttend industry events, trade shows, Dealer conferences, and exhibitions to promote the company’s products and services.Build and maintain excellent dealer and end customer relationships.To ensure all Dealer accounts are formally contracted, current and aligned to Terex Standards.To ensure compliance with Terex and local laws and advise Terex brand line of any contradictions with company policies and good business practices.Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience managing dealer accounts in an Industrial/ heavy equipment environment 3+ years of New Business Development within an Industrial environment in the sales of capital equipment3+ years of experience with delivering sales presentations to Industrial customersPreferred Requirements:
In-depth technical sales and applications knowledge of heavy equipment machinery and aggregates industryBachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred but not requiredExcellent interpersonal skills to prepare and deliver formal presentations to customersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skills to develop sales strategiesThorough working knowledge of MS Office packages and presentation software packagesAbility to work independently while coordinating activities with a variety of large teamsOther:
Able to travel 50-60%
