Position Summary:
Identify manufacturing defects on cores and patch or trim cores to repair defects. Use air gun with diamond tool to trim flash, trim die line and cut tie bars on all cores.
Essential Functions:
Handling a variety of cores with careMust follow Standard Operating Procedure for Finishing and be able to Stamp Identification on coresProduce quantities within set standards of each part number, identify core defects and maintain accurate records (routers, CQCS, etc.)100% visual inspection before working on cores is requiredIdentify negatives on all low-pressure cores and patch according to procedureRemove die lines and excess LudoxPoke Holes per QEI and make dimensional checks of holes and slots and apply tac waxMicroblast glass rodsCorrectly complete and disposition blue dye coresIdentify cracks and voids on all cores and patch according to procedureUse air gun with diamond tool and/or hand tools to trim flash, trim die line and cut and remove tie bars on all low-pressure coresRun dip process when neededMaintain accurate records/documentation and eventually enter information into computerMust follow and adhere to all safety proceduresMaintain department standards for housekeeping/6SOther duties as assigned by supervision
