Avery Dennison is a global leader in materials science and manufacturing, and we're looking for a motivated Finishing Operator to join our production team in the finishing center. This is a 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) position where you'll play a crucial role in preparing our high-quality products for shipment.
As a Finishing Operator, your responsibilities will include:
Packaging Excellence: Precisely sort, label, and package finished goods according to specific customer requirements, quality standards, and company best practices. This includes understanding Avery Dennison's standard packaging and Exact program packing requirements.Quality Assurance: Inspect the general appearance of finished products to ensure they meet our high-quality standards.Operational Support: Keep your area stocked with necessary packaging materials and prepare cores for machine operators.Communication & Coordination: Effectively communicate and coordinate vital information with other shifts and departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Efficiency & Improvement: Track multiple orders simultaneously, actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in group problem-solving teams.Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, perform 5S duties and audits, and assist with equipment maintenance as directed.What we're looking for in a candidate:

Movement: Ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of your shift, with frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting up to 50% of the time.Lifting: Capability to lift up to 50 pounds for up to 50% of your shift.Environment: Comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.Growth Opportunities: This role offers a solid foundation within our finishing operations.
