SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for performing any job duties required in the finish / assembly area and a minimum of one higher skill level position associated with the area. Jobs include all Finisher 1 jobs as well as Inspector and Hydrotesting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures in a manner that eliminates risk to health and the environment. Notify leadership of unsafe conditions or practices unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to leadership immediately.
+ Follow required instructions for assembly, packaging, processing and inspection of final product.
+ Perform quality inspections of packaging materials and final product as it is packaged.
+ Assure all documents required are properly completed.
+ Assure all packages and disks are labeled properly.
+ Assure final product meets customer requirements.
+ Must use frequent physical effort to perform job duties.
+ Able to foster professionalism with all associates along with internal and external customers
+ Monitor and follow all safety preventative measures and practices, including 5S+ safety guidelines
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Participate in peer-based teams (i.e., Natural High Performance Teams), and work with groups to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
+ Participate on project teams, star point teams and kaizen events when needed.
Attend and participate in all training opportunities required to develop in the role
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/ SCOPE:
+ Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader
+ Work closely with other departments to resolve issues with the processes & equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee may be subject to:
+ High noise levels from operating machines and equipment
+ Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels
+ Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, high visibility clothing)
+ Standing is required for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting is performed on a regular basis
+ Requires high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions
+ Requires flexible hours and short notice for overtime
The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience:
Previous experience in manufacturing preferred

+ Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
+ Sound decision making skills
+ Good math, reading and writing skills
+ Be able to exercise continuous mental, visual and audio attention
Skills/ Competencies:
1. Basic computer skills
2. Vision: Near acuity and accommodation for reading information to perform job tasks
3. Requires constant alertness to surroundings and product quality with attention to detail
4. Must be able to operate material handling equipment and hoist, if needed
