Risk Financing Analyst We’re hiring! Aon are currently recruiting an Analyst to join our Risk Finance team supporting our EMEA hubs in Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Sweden.
Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC) works with Aon colleagues globally to provide integrated insurance and risk management solutions, helping clients understand and improve their risk profile.
Our Risk Finance team support multinational and large national clients by optimising insurance programmes, advising on the use and formation of captive insurance companies and aligning clients’ approaches to risk financing with their strategic priorities. This role will support existing risk finance consultants with data gathering, analytics and producing client deliverables.
This role is part of Commercial Risk in ABS Krakow. It will have a dotted line report to the AGRC EMEA Risk Finance Practice Group Lead and will work closely with the AGRC Actuarial and Captive Management teams.
What the day will look like
+ Preparation of analysis on client risk finance issues, including: modelling of risk tolerance and appetite for risk retention and captive feasibility calculations in support of insurance programme design
+ Preparation of pro forma captive insurance company financials
+ Preparing client output in a digestible and understandable form
+ Supporting the risk finance consultants with client discussions and meetings
+ Own and manage the Risk Finance SharePoint site and project repository
+ Facilitate access to and management of captive domicile scorecards and metrics
+ Contribute to the research of technical issues as well as to the development of the team’s product and service offering
Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ University degree (specialization in accounting /economics/finance/risk management/insurance)
+ At least three years of work experience in finance, risk management or accounting
+ English level – C1
+ Deep knowledge of MS Office (advanced MS Excel)
+ Interpersonal & teamwork– Working cooperatively with colleagues and stakeholders virtually. Building and maintaining relationships to mutually achieve client deliverables
+ Technical Insurance Knowledge – ability to learn basic principles of insurance, the insurance placement process and how insurance coverage applies
+ Deductive Reasoning – the ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
+ Mathematical Reasoning – the ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem
+ Oral Expression – the ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
+ Written Expression – the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
+ Ability to connect with variety of stakeholders on Senior Level in the matrix environment
+ Ability to work independently, prioritize own tasks and work under time pressure
