Job Description:

The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Financial Systems (Yardi, Nexus, Longview, etc.). The individual will work within a group environment to develop, maintain, monitor, and enhance the performance and functionality of Ventas financial systems to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

Financial Systems Support

Provide user service and support in assigned financial systemsAssist users in troubleshooting issues with system integrations and accounting reconciliationsPerform stabilization, break/fix, and other maintenance activities (including system upgrades)Work with the business to develop and capture requirements and design specifications for system enhancementsDevelop, test, and implement system enhancementsDevelop and document test plans, policies, standards, procedures, and checklistsAssess, design, and provide application trainingIdentify, recommend, and implement application solutions and improvements

Project Management

Point of contact for Financial SystemsAssist in creating and maintaining UAT (user acceptance testing) for Financial Systems projectsAbility to manage all aspects of a mini project to small projects

IT Audit Documentation and Compliance Management

Compile and keep all documentation related to the Financial Systems usage and functionality.Coordinate and respond to audit requests from both the internal and external audit teams.

General system administration and management activities

Set up new users and modifying access rightsManage scheduled loads and mappingsTroubleshoot data kickouts and errorsUpdate input forms and business logic

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent degree with experience.2-5 years Financial Systems management experience (maintenance and development) in a real estate environment preferred.  The equivalent years of experience in an accounting role will also be considered.Basic working knowledge of accounting concepts. required.  Intermediate to advanced knowledge of accounting concepts preferredREIT, other real estate or Investment/Asset Management experience preferredFamiliarity with any of the following software applications is desirable: Yardi, Longview, Vena, Nexus, Passport, or ConcurFamiliarity with cloud computing fundamentals is desirableExperience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries and working with database scripts and stored procedures in an MS-SQL Server environment is a plusIT-related certifications such as ITIL, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM a plus.  Finance-related certifications like CPA, CFA a plus.
