Financial Services Supervisor 1 - DLAM
Description Under general direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, Financial Services Supervisor 1 has overall responsibility of managing the billing operation of the Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DLAM). Major duties include but are not limited to: Budgetary/Accounting Administration, Travel Processing, Administrative Duties, and Equipment Management. The supervisor will oversee team members who perform procurement, uniform, equipment and supply purchase among other duties. Salary Range: $70,900.00 - $145,200.00 Annually Qualifications Required: + Ability to analyze information, problems, and procedures to define problems and formulate viable alternatives. + Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, and prepare or reconcile financial reports, ledgers, and accounting journals. + Demonstrated ability to compose concise statistical analytical reports, and professional business correspondence using Excel and Word for Windows. + Ability to work with and working knowledge of capabilities of personal computers, printers, copiers, projectors, and various computing and office equipment. + Ability to work independently on a self-directed basis prioritizing and organizing fluctuating workload. + Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly both on a one to one and group presentation level to obtain and convey information to individuals at various organizational levels. + Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with DLAM staff as well as other department members. + Ability to determine and locate related outside agencies and sources, their roles and responsibilities to collect needed information and data. + Demonstrated skills of MS Office including Word and Excel, QDB, database and e-mail systems. + Skill in supervision of direct reports to accomplish established objectives including training, delegating, evaluating, organizing work flow and administering discipline. Preferred: + Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. + Working knowledge of University administrative organization, policies, procedures, and practices. + Working knowledge of University accounting principles, travel policies, and equipment management rules/regulations.
