Kforce has a client that is seeking a Financial Reporting/Technical Accountant in Germantown, MD. Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting/Technical Accountant to lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements while serving as a key resource for complex technical accounting matters. This role will ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP (or IFRS, if applicable), support external audits, and drive improvements in financial reporting processes across the organization. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS * Research and analyze complex accounting issues; Prepare technical accounting memos and policy documentation * Manage and coordinate external audit processes, including PBC requests and audit schedules * Monitor and implement new accounting standards and ensure company policies are updated accordingly * Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Accounting, Legal, and external auditors * Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements related to financial reporting * Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information in ERP and reporting systems (e.g., Workiva, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) * Support management with financial disclosures, board reporting, and regulatory filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, or other statutory filings)
