PayPal, Inc. seeks Financial Reporting Manager in San Jose, CA
Job Duties: Create and maintain SEC reporting calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for the process. Manage and support the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package in collaboration with contributing team members. Prepare quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q/K and manage the internal and external review for these documents. Assess and ensure effectiveness of internal controls where identified as a process owner; implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements. Communicate with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures and other issues. Review filings related to government reporting and surveys, supplementary earnings materials and XBRL tagging. Research and analyze new and existing accounting and reporting pronouncements, utilizing authoritative guidance and determining external disclosure requirements. Preparation of US GAAP and SEC disclosure checklist to ensure compliance of external financial statements and disclosures. Partial telecommuting permitted as per current company guidelines from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or a related field plus eight years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
• Experience with US GAAP, including the application and interpretation of accounting standards (8 years).
• Experience evaluating significant accounting policies and recent accounting pronouncements (8 years).
• Experience reviewing or drafting technical accounting memoranda, conducting technical accounting research, and proposing positions on complex accounting and reporting issues (8 years).
• Experience communicating with auditors (8 years).
• At least 3 years’ experience in public accounting, including at least 1 year “Big 4” accounting firm manager experience
• Experience reviewing or preparing Form 10K/10Q for large multinational companies (3 years).
• Experience reviewing or preparing US GAAP and SEC Disclosure checklists (3 years).
• Experience with SEC rules and regulations, ensuring company compliance in financial reporting activities (3 years).
• Experience using Workiva, including financial reporting and SEC filing preparation (3 years).
• Experience reviewing or preparing monthly financial reporting packages (3 years).
• Experience with government reporting and surveys (3 years).
• Experience with SAP, SAP Business Intelligence and Blackline (1 year)

Salary: $157,500.00-198,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
