Financial Reporting Compliance Analyst

Area:

Financial Reporting Compliance is a world-class corporate function of the BASF Group that ensures the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. This is achieved through creating awareness of risks, rules, and controls; assessing the effectiveness of the internal control system; supporting a reliable control environment; and implementing best practices and efficient approaches for risk coverage and control evaluation.

 

Main Objective of the Position: 

The main objective is to support the annual Financial Reporting Compliance South America cycle activities to meet the established due dates.

 

Main Tasks:

Support team activities, focusing on South America, both in planning and managing the cycle.Act as a Tester for the processes of the companies in scope, ensuring the quality of the testing.Be knowledgeable about the guidelines/requirements that directly impact us (R1 Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Risk Management, as well as our team's internal protocols).Keep the documentation of our internal processes updated.

 

Minimum Education and Qualification Requirements for the Position:

Education: Advanced student or graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or related fields.Work Experience: 1 year in similar tasks/roles, preferably in internal control areas or financial process auditing.Languages: Advanced English is mandatory. Portuguese is highly valued.Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of the Office suite. Knowledge of internal control and compliance is valued. Soft Skills: Open, organized, and possess strong communication skills.
