The Financial Regulatory Analyst will be key in protecting client assets and ensuring regulatory capital compliance for IBSJ. In time, and with the training to be provided as part of the role, the analyst will become a key day-to-day contact for client protection and capital compliance. Additionally, the holder of this role will undertake ad-hoc financial analysis of the business, support a wide range of new business initiatives as the business grows, and interface with internal groups such as accounting, treasury, clearing and programming. Depending on the incumbent's capacity, clearing operation training can also be provided to this position, so he can cover this other department if necessary.

Responsibilities: Preparation of client money reconciliation and capital computations. Monthly regulatory return preparation. Support local regulatory & financial audits and regulatory exams. Research the regulatory impact of new business initiatives. Developing, enhancing and documenting regulatory control procedures. Creating functional business requirements for enhancements to existing regulatory and operational systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, mathematics or sciences. More than 4 years of working experience in Finance/ Accounting Native Japanese speaker/ reader (ability to read Japanese laws/ acts/ regulations in Japanese). Effective verbal and written communication in English. Prior experience with financial regulatory reporting is a strong plus. Knowledgeable in Japanese local GAAP. Other Specific Skills & Knowledge: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, emphasizing accuracy and timeliness. High degree of comfort and proficiency with computerized systems. Must be well organized, a self-starter and have a strong work ethic. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Experience in handling tax returns is a plus. Experience with Oracle Financials is a plus. Good understanding of technology and automation. Ability to work co-operatively with multiple teams.
