We are seeking a Underwriter Consultant in our Data Analytics Group in the Midwest. The Underwriter Consultant will oversee the overall financial management of our Major Market clients' health and benefits plans.


In this role, you will:

Consult with clients regarding their Health & Benefits strategy, including Health Care Reform impact, plan design, contribution setting, and reserve development, etc.Ask effective questions to identify real client issuesPrioritize clients' issues and provide evidence and impact which highlight how HUB can solve those issuesLead financial deliverables and client presentations for employers ranging in size from 250 – 20,000 employees, with a strong focus on underwritingPeer review work of junior staff and provide constructive feedback for improvementAnalyze Request for Proposals (RFPs) for all health and welfare programsBe an expert in Health & Benefits strategies and in explaining the impact to clientsParticipate in internal initiatives that foster growth and improvement in our business area and across business areasActively participate in Data Analytic Group meetingsTake an active interest in a leadership role, and create a path to get thereTake pride in your work, work hard, and make sure you can have some fun at the same time

What you offer us:

Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university5-7 years of relevant experienceStrong problem solving skillsExcellent written and oral communication skills

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, and personal days, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
