The Financial Management Analyst will provide expert-level financial management support to the Space Systems Command (SSC) under the Command Staff Support contract, specifically supporting the BZR, DAG Support (SSIO). This role involves comprehensive support across the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) lifecycle for SSC’s space acquisition portfolio. The analyst will work closely with government personnel to ensure accurate, timely, and strategic financial planning and execution.
Salary RangeFull salary range for this position is $132,000 to $144,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed belowPortfolio Financial Management:
Support all aspects of SSC space acquisition financial management including POM, PBR, Planning Choices, and year-of-execution reviews.Assist in planning and execution of financial reviews such as Fall/Spring Program Reviews, BER, MER, PMRs, and Investment Budget Reviews.PPBE Analysis and Execution:
Apply critical thinking to develop, brief, and integrate PPBE phases.Monitor, forecast, and report on investment and O&M appropriations, including expiring, canceling, reimbursable, and working capital funds.Budget Exhibit Support:
Assist in the preparation and review of budget exhibits.Provide guidance and training to program offices and critically analyze budget documents for strategic alignment and accuracy.Training and Communication:
Contribute to and organize SharePoint sites for operational understanding and training.Provide acquisition process expertise to train new SSC/FM personnel.Communicate clearly and professionally in both oral and written formats.Financial Systems and Reconciliation:
Reconcile financial data across systems and recommend corrective actions.Utilize tools such as MS Office, CCaR, GAFS, DEAMS, MOCAS, PMRT, IDECS II, ADVANA, and FM-Suite.Reporting and Documentation:
Document activities and provide weekly and monthly status updates to SSC/FMA leadership. Education, Requirements and Qualifications A secret security clearance is required.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in DoD financial management or acquisition support.Strong understanding of PPBE processes and DoD budget cycles.Proficiency in financial systems and tools listed above.Excellent communication and organizational skills. Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsAbility to lift in excess of 25 lbs, standing for long periods of time, traveling across base regularly, transporting equipment, etc.
