Resideo is looking for an independent Financial Country Controller (m/w/d) to join our EMEA finance team. This is a hybrid working role that can be either based in Germany, Belgium or the Netherlands. The Financial Country Controller will cover Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands and will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with US and Local GAAP, as well as local statutory and legislative requirements. Reporting to the Sub-Regional Controller, the Financial Country Controller serves as a key partner to the regional business, tax, and treasury teams, as well as external auditors. **JOB DUTIES:** + Prepare and file timely and accurate statutory financial statements for all reporting units and legal entities. + Act as the primary point of contact for statutory audits. + Review/approve complex, high-risk balance sheet account reconciliations. + Prepare Manual Journal entries and reconciliations for key local compliance accounts, with a focus on payroll and local taxes. + Support the payroll, VAT, and tax teams in resolving issues + Participate in monthly operating reviews with entity controllers and sub-regional controllers to ensure a thorough understanding of P&L and balance sheet activities, as well as identify risks and opportunities. + Support Corporate Tax in tax-led strategic initiatives and projects, and act as a key point of contact for tax audits and local compliance matters. + Collaborate with Corporate Controllers to address in-country legal entity change management needs, including acquisitions, divestitures, site closings, and core business process migrations. + Assist with local tax filings and reconciliations + Prepare any necessary local Government compliance and statistical reporting, such as environmental or trade-related reporting. + Perform ad-hoc miscellaneous duties as assigned. **YOU MUST HAVE:** + Demonstrated track record of managing the monthly accounting cycle and ensuring compliance with local statutory reporting, US GAAP or IFRS requirements, and robust internal controls + Knowledge of one of German, Belgium and/or Dutch GAAP requirements + Professional Excel and ERP Skills (preferably SAP) + Relevant professional accounting qualification + Fluent in English **WE VALUE:** + Previous experience in industry or public accounting in Controllership, Accounting, and Auditing, preferably with a Big4 or Next10 firm + Knowledge of additional language (German or Dutch) + Knowledge of two of German, Belgium and/or Dutch GAAP requirements + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to multi-task, assess priorities, and drive performance in a complex and demanding, highly matrix environment **WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:** + Building your career within a stable and global company + Great learning possibilities + Possibility to influence and participate in a transformation within the Controllership team + Hybrid working model + Flexible working hours + Attractive employment conditions (IG Metall collective agreement) + 30 days vacation \#LI-AM3 \#LI-HYBRID Resideo is a $6.76 billion global manufacturer, developer, and distributor of technology-driven sensing and control solutions that help homeowners and businesses stay connected and in control of their comfort, security, energy use, and smart living.
