About the RoleWe’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting operations and drive financial strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and long-term business planning. You’ll lead a small, high-performing team and collaborate closely with leadership across departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all core accounting functions, including accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliationDeliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsPrepare forecasts and financial analyses to support strategic decision-makingEnsure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory reporting standardsManage and optimize financial systems, with a focus on SageLead internal audits and maintain strong internal controlsPartner with department heads to ensure budget adherence and cost controlMentor and develop the finance team, setting clear goals and expectationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field4–6 years of construction accounting experience (Accountant, Senior Accountant, or Controller level)Hands-on experience with WIP (Work-in-Progress) software and SageProven managerial experience (leading a team of 3 or more)Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial complianceProficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost controlExceptional attention to detail with the ability to simplify complex financial dataExcellent communication skills, especially when presenting to non-financial stakeholdersPreferred Soft SkillsSelf-motivated and proactiveStrong problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger pictureTech-savvy and comfortable in a fast-paced environmentStrong multitasking and organizational skillsStrategic mindset for cost savings and efficiencyPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
